ANPR Camera Installation in Lincolnshire
ANPR cameras for yards, holiday parks, petrol stations and car parks across Lincolnshire. Automatic barrier control and SSAIB certified installation.

ANPR Cameras Tell You What Regular CCTV Doesn’t
When a vehicle comes onto your site, standard CCTV shows you a car, truck, or van. ANPR tells you the registration, the time it arrived and the time it left.
That difference changes what you can do. You can let known vehicles through a barrier without anyone getting out to press a buzzer. You can search months of movement by plate rather than scrolling footage. You can flag a registration and get a message when it turns up.
We’re SSAIB-certified ANPR CCTV installers in Lincolnshire, and we’ve been fitting camera systems across the county since 2008. Farms, industrial units, car parks, petrol stations and gated developments. We survey the site first, tell you what ANPR will and won’t do for you, then quote.

Are ANPR Cameras Right For Your Site?
Every site asks something different of ANPR. A packhouse gate handles booked HGVs through the night. A caravan park handles thousands of vehicles over a season. A town car park needs to match what was paid against how long a vehicle stayed.
If your application isn’t on this list, we can still help.
Food, Packing & Distribution Sites
South Lincolnshire runs on food. Around Spalding, Holbeach, Boston and Long Sutton, packhouses and distribution units take HGV traffic through the night to a booking slot. ANPR logs every arrival and departure by plate, so you get turnaround times you can check and a gate that opens for expected hauliers.
Industrial & Port-Adjacent Sites
Out around Immingham, Grimsby and Scunthorpe, gated compounds handle contractors, deliveries and shift traffic all day. Add approved vehicles to a list, and they come and go on their own. Everyone else uses the intercom, and you keep a searchable record either way.
Petrol Stations & Forecourts
Filling stations on the A1, A16 and A17 serve long stretches of road and a lot of passing traffic. ANPR ties a registration to each pump transaction. This makes unpaid fuel recoverable afterwards and gives you a clear record when a query comes back to you weeks later.
Holiday & Caravan Parks
At Skegness, Ingoldmells, Chapel St Leonards and Mablethorpe, entrances deal with seasonal pitch holders, changeover days and passing day visitors. ANPR lets your regulars drive straight in without passes or fobs, and you update the list yourself as bookings change rather than reissuing anything each season.
Car Parks
In Lincoln, Grantham and Stamford, paid parking works better when the plate is the ticket. A driver pays by registration, and ANPR checks what was paid against how long the vehicle actually stayed. You get accurate overstay records, no dashboard tickets to inspect, and evidence if a charge is queried.
What You Can Do With ANPR
ANPR cameras change how your site runs day to day: who drives straight through, who gets stopped, and what you can look up afterwards. It works as part of your access control systems and can share the same recorder as the rest of your CCTV system.
Automatic Entry
Add your staff, pitch holders, residents or regular delivery vehicles to a list, and the gate opens as they approach. Remove a plate and access stops that day.
Visitor Handling
Everyone not on the list uses the intercom or video entry panel as normal, so your team only handles exceptions rather than every routine arrival at the gate.
Flagged Plates
Ask the system to tell you when a particular registration arrives, either as a message to your phone or an alert to whoever is working at reception that day.
Search History
Type in a registration and find every visit that vehicle has made, rather than working backwards through hours of recorded footage by date and hoping you find the right one.
What Our Clients Say
ANPR and Data Protection
A vehicle’s registration is personal data, so an ANPR system carries responsibilities that ordinary CCTV doesn’t always have. You need clear signage telling people the site uses ANPR, a defined reason for recording, a sensible retention period, and a way of answering anyone who asks what you hold about them.
We set retention and access up with you at installation, and make sure the documentation matches what the system actually does. For your own obligations, the ICO guidance on ANPR is the place to start.

SSAIB Certified Installation
SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) certification means our work is inspected against recognised standards.
We design and fit to the relevant British Standards, and you get the test results and documentation with the handover.
For commercial premises, it’s often what your insurer expects. Where it isn’t required, it’s still a reasonable way of confirming that whoever quotes you answers to somebody.
How it Works
From first contact to final handover, you’ll get practical advice, an ANPR camera system built around how the vehicles move through your site, and a clear, fair price.
Free Site Survey
We visit the site, walk the entrances with you and work out where plates can be read reliably, whether that’s one camera or part of a wider system.
Plan and Quote
You get a written quote showing what we’re installing, what it costs and how long the work takes. If you need us to change something, we can.
Installation Day
We install on a date that suits you, set up your lists and alerts with you, and don’t leave the site until you can run the system yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions About ANPR Camera Installation
You may have a few questions before installing ANPR cameras, so we’ve answered the ones we’re asked most often below.
Will ANPR read plates at night?
Yes. ANPR cameras use infrared and the reflective surface of the plate, so darkness on its own isn’t a problem. This matters most in rural Lincolnshire where there’s often very little lighting.
Headlight glare and mixed lighting affect it more, so we look at the entrance after dark before deciding where the camera goes.
What about muddy plates on farm traffic?
It’s a fair question, and the honest answer is that heavy mud will stop any system from reading a number plate.
What we can do is position the camera to record vehicles at the cleanest point of their approach.
How fast can a vehicle be moving?
It depends on the camera and the capture point.
We position cameras where vehicles are already slowing, for example, approaching a gate or a barrier, which keeps read rates high without asking anything unusual of the hardware.
Can ANPR open a gate or barrier automatically?
Yes, and it’s one of the most common reasons people ask about it.
Known plates trigger the gate; everyone else uses the intercom. It works with most existing gate automation, and we’ll confirm compatibility on your free survey.
Can I add ANPR to my existing CCTV system?
Often, yes.
ANPR cameras can usually sit on an existing recorder alongside your current cameras, provided there’s capacity, and the network can take it.
We’ll check compatibility with your existing system before quoting.
There’s no power at my gate. Is that a problem?
Not necessarily, but it does need power.
Sometimes we’ll need to run a cable from the nearest building; sometimes we need to take a different approach. It’s one of the first things we look at on farms and remote site surveys.
How much does ANPR cost?
The cost depends on;
- How many cameras you need and where they go
- Whether it needs integrating with a gate or barrier
- Whether it’s tying into CCTV or access control you already have, and
- What the cabling and power situation is at each entrance.
That’s the reason the survey is free. We’d rather look at the site and give you a fixed written price than an arbitrary price.
Do I need signage?
Yes.
People should know a site uses ANPR before they enter it. We’ll tell you what’s expected and where it needs to go.
